CNV Vakmensen participates in negotiating the Taxi Collective Labor Agreement. What are the most important employment conditions and how does the collective labor agreement protect you as a taxi driver?

CNV Vakmensen and the taxi industry

CNV Vakmensen is one of the trade unions that negotiates the Taxi Transport Collective Labor Agreement on behalf of taxi drivers. In addition to FNV, CNV Vakmensen represents the interests of employees in the taxi and mobility sector.

The Taxi Collective Labor Agreement: the most important points

The Taxi Collective Labor Agreement contains agreements on:

  • Wage: Minimum salaries per job category and increments
  • Working hours: Maximum day shifts of 10 hours, maximum weekly working time
  • Allowances: Irregularity allowance for evening (20%), night (40%) and weekend (45%)
  • Travel expenses: Allowance for commuting
  • Training: Right to training and vocational courses
  • Pension: Mandatory participation in the pension fund via SF Mobility

Difference between employee vs. self-employed

The collective labor agreement only applies to employed taxi drivers. As an independent taxi driver (self-employed) you are not covered by the collective labor agreement, but you are responsible for your own employment conditions, pension and insurance. It is important to prepare yourself well for this.
