FNV Taxi: Your rights as an employed taxi driver
What is FNV Taxi?
FNV Taxi is the trade union branch of FNV (Dutch Trade Union Federation) that represents the interests of taxi drivers and other passenger transport staff in the Netherlands. FNV negotiates on behalf of employees about the employment conditions in the Taxi Transport Collective Labor Agreement.
What does the Taxi Transport Collective Labor Agreement regulate?
The Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) for the taxi industry lays down:
- Minimum wage and salary increases
- Working hours and rest periods: maximum shifts and minimum rest periods
- Holidays and holiday pay
- Allowances for evening, night and weekend work
- Expense reimbursements
- Pension accrual via SF Mobiliteit
Your rights as taxi driver
As an employed taxi driver you are entitled to:
- A written employment contract
- Continued payment in the event of illness
- Protection against unlawful dismissal
- Holiday days (minimum 20 per year for full-time)
- Safe working conditions
