Why register with the Chamber of Commerce?
If you want to work as a self-employed taxi driver, you are obliged to register your company in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce (Chamber of Commerce). This also applies if you drive as a part-time job in addition to employment.
What do you need for registration?
For Chamber of Commerce registration as a taxi driver you need:
- A valid proof of identity (passport or ID card)
- A chosen trade name for your company
- A choice of legal form (usually sole proprietorship as a starting self-employed person)
- Your BSN number
- The address of your company (a home address is also allowed)
How does registration work?
- Make an appointment at a Chamber of Commerce office or register online via kvk.nl
- Bring your ID
- Choose your legal form and trade name
- After registration you will receive a Chamber of Commerce number
- Then register with the Tax Authorities for VAT and income tax
