Who Are We?
MatchMyDriver is an innovative Dutch platform that directly connects professional drivers and clients. In a market dominated by international platforms with algorithms and commission structures, we consciously choose a different approach: transparency, direct communication, and freedom for both drivers and clients.
Founded in 2025, MatchMyDriver arose from the need for a fair and accessible platform where quality and personal service are central. We believe that the best transportation solutions emerge when drivers and clients can communicate directly, without intermediaries putting their own interests first.
The Founder: David Mohan
MatchMyDriver was founded by David Mohan, an experienced professional with over 25 years of work experience across various sectors, including transport, logistics, and customer service.
David has been active as a professional driver since 2018, certified for both taxi and bus transport. He holds the complete Taxi Driver Diploma, trained as a bus driver at OIBC, and is ADR certified for transporting hazardous materials. Additionally, he is certified as a first aid responder and Security Officer.
With his background as a supervisor at Teleplan Communications, where he led teams and oversaw quality processes, David brings a unique combination of hands-on driving experience and business insight to MatchMyDriver.
His vision: "As a driver, I know how frustrating it is to depend on platforms that charge high commissions and offer little control. MatchMyDriver was born from the desire to let drivers be their own boss, while clients get the best service at fair prices."
Guarantee To Our Drivers: No Commission, Ever
As founder of MatchMyDriver, I, David Mohan, hereby give the following personal guarantee to all registered drivers:
"MatchMyDriver will never charge commissions on rides that registered drivers have obtained through this platform. I believe that drivers are entitled to their full earnings for the work they deliver, without any intermediary taking a cut. This vision is the core of why MatchMyDriver exists and will never change."
This is not a marketing promise that can be revoked. This is a fundamental value upon which this platform was built. Other platforms take 15%, 20%, or even 25% of your income. We find that unacceptable.

Unlike traditional ride-sharing apps or taxi companies, we function as a marketplace where drivers and clients can find each other directly. No algorithms distributing rides, no mandatory rates, no commissions driving up costs. Only direct communication between professionals and their clients.
2. Drivers Determine Their Own Terms
Our drivers are not employees or contractors who must adhere to imposed rules. They are independent professionals who set their own rates, choose their own specializations, and build their own client relationships. This leads to motivated drivers who take pride in their service.
3. Transparent Profiles With Detailed Information
Each driver profile contains extensive information about experience, certifications, vehicle types, specializations, and service areas. 4. No Commissions For Drivers
We believe drivers should receive their fully earned money. Therefore, we charge no commissions per ride. Drivers pay a transparent subscription fee for their profile visibility and retain 100% of their income.
5. Transparent Pricing
The Dutch government sets maximum taxi rates that may be charged in the Netherlands. Many drivers use these legal maximum rates, but on MatchMyDriver you can often make advantageous arrangements. Because drivers contact you directly and can offer their own prices, rates are often lower than the legal maximums. Through our bidding system, you receive competitive offers and choose the best price-quality ratio yourself.
6. Focus On Quality And Professionalism
We strive for a platform of professionals, for professionals. Drivers on MatchMyDriver possess the right certifications, insurance, and experience. We actively moderate to keep our platform's quality high.
7. Innovative Bidding Function For Ride Assignments
In addition to searching and directly contacting drivers via our directory, MatchMyDriver also offers a unique bidding function for ride assignments. Clients can post a specific ride (such as airport pickup, business trip, or medical transport) with all details including route, date, time, number of passengers, and luggage. Drivers can then bid their own price on this assignment.
How does it work?
- Clients post a ride assignment: Fill in all details via our Post Ride Assignment form. You can also indicate if the ride is urgent (within 24 hours).
- Drivers bid their own price: Registered drivers see all open assignments on the Bid on Rides page and can offer their own rate.
- You receive the top 5 bids: After the bidding period (1-100 hours depending on departure time), you automatically receive the 5 best offers via email, including prices and driver information.
- You choose the best driver: Click the "Accept" button on your preferred bid and the driver will contact you within 24 hours.
Fixed price assignments: Additionally, MatchMyDriver sometimes posts assignments with a fixed rate. For these assignments, the price is already determined and drivers can show interest instead of bidding. Once 5 drivers have shown interest, the assignment automatically closes and the client receives the list of interested drivers. Each driver can only show interest once per fixed price assignment.
This system gives clients transparency about market prices and drivers the opportunity to bid competitively without having to constantly monitor the directory. It's a win-win for both parties!

Our Growth Strategy
We grow organically through word-of-mouth and satisfied users. New drivers can register for free until June 1, 2026 to experience the platform without financial risk. This gives them time to find clients and discover the value of our platform. Interested? Register as a driver now.
We invest in quality over quantity. We prefer a smaller platform with excellent drivers over a large platform where quality is subordinate to growth.
Privacy And Security
We take privacy and security seriously. Personal contact details of drivers are only shown to drivers with an extended or complete package. Our integrated chat function makes it possible to communicate without sharing personal data, until both parties are ready.
